Tuition is offered on a variety of instruments at all levels from beginner to competent musician. The variety of services we offer is ever-expanding and we welcome enquiries from people wishing to learn an instrument that we do not yet cover.

Instrumental tuition is offered in the following formats:

Individual:A one-to-one lesson with a qualified and experienced teacher. This is recommended on a weekly basis to enhance the player's performance skills and to ensure and monitor the learner's progression.

Group: Tutors at Still Sharp would normally recommend that weekly tution should be conducted in groups no larger than 2 people to enable adequate teaching time per student. However, this can be negotiated and larger groups may be considered on occasions when ensemble tuition may be required.

Ensemble:On occasion students will be given the opportunity to learn as an ensemble (group of musicians) as this enhances a one's awareness of others and is a vital skill to any practising musician.

Brass:Trumpet, Cornet, Trombone, Tenor Horn, Baritone/ Euphonium, Tuba (Bass)

Woodwind: Saxophone

Strings: Electric Guitar, Folk Guitar, Bass Guitar, Double Bass (string bass style)

Keyboards: Piano, Jazz Piano, Electronic Keyboard

Percussion:Drum Kit
